Augusto Dagan, 60, was stopped at the airport’s screening checkpoint on Friday when security personnel manning x-ray machines discovered the bullets.

The airport is under the supervision of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP).

Airport Area manager Efren Nagrama said Dagan posted a cash bond of P120,000 for his temporary liberty.

The PNP in Davao were on full alert because of the All Saints’ Day.

Last month, Davao aviation police arrested an Australian, Ian Maxwell, 58, for alleged possession of a disassembled but unlicensed .38 caliber gun.

At the Ninoy Aquino International Airport also on Friday, aviation police held two passengers – Pancho M. Salgado and Chris Valerie Panopio Mendoza for possession of 5.56mm Armalite bullet and .45 caliber bullet, respectively.

Police said Salgado was bound for Osaka, Japan, while Mendoza was to fly to Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

  2. bull shit what a big joke.

when you travel to Philippines warp your belongings with plastic bags as shown on Facebook pictures to be safe.

hahahahah what a shame u————–lol only in pINAS.

Only in the Philippines this is happening. It is very alarming and dangerous. What is
the Tuwad na Daan doing? It is very strange that OFW’s are being subjected to this
kind of corruption. If this government can no longer maintain order and discipline
at the airport, better replace all existing personnels at the airport. It is a shame
when people are alarm in coming to visit the Philippines. What kind of government
do we now have? Better boot out these people in government who are entrusted
to maintain peace and order at the airports. This Abnoy administration is patently
noted for having the Philippines from worst airport, one of the top worst armed forces
to dangerous airport. It’s a shame.
