APAYAO Gov. Elias Bulut Jr. on Sunday commended the vigilance of the residents of Luna town against communist rebels as well as their hatred against violence. A tip-off to police about the presence of 10 heavily armed men reportedly conducting extortion activities at Calayucay village in Luna town on October 3 led to the death of four New People’s Army rebels. Cordillera Public Information Officer Police Senior Supt. Davey Limmong identified the fatalities as Efren Arquillo alias Mario Domogan of Allacapan, Cagayan, Vinia Alejandro alias Ka Dina-Rani and Rhoby Edillo. The four is yet to be identified.
