• APEC meet to cancel classes in Metro

The Department of Education (DepEd) will suspend classes in Metro Manila from Nov. 17 to Nov. 20, 2015 because of the holding of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders’ meeting.

The DepEd said classes will be suspended for security reasons and to ease traffic congestion when heads of state of the 21 member-countries are in Manila.

Schools however will have to hold make-up classes.

Malacañang earlier declared November 18 and 19, 2015 as non-working holidays because of the APEC summit.
