President Benigno Aquino 3rd has appointed Andre Palacios as the new executive director of the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Center of the Philippines, Malacañang announced on Tuesday.
Palacios will replace Cossette Canilao, who has resigned, effective March 8, to address pressing family concerns.
Before his appointment, Palacios served as Technical Adviser to the PPP Center since January 2015.
He also served as General Counsel, Millennium Challenge Account Philippines and Assistant Secretary at the Office of the Chief Presidential Legal Counsel from March 2003 to May 2004.
Palacios is a lawyer who ranked fifth in the 1998 Bar examinations.
He received his law degree from the University of the Philippines College of Law and his Master of Laws in International Law degree, with merit, from the University of London.
