President Benigno Aquino 3rd on Monday bade the military goodbye.
The President graced the Photo Opportunity with the 250th Presidential Airlift Wing Personnel and Officers in Malacañang, his last as Commander in Chief.
In his speech, Aquino lauded the military, particularly the former Wing Commanders to the present Wing Commanders, officers, and civilian employees.
“I have never had any cause to complain about the service you provided all of us,” the President said.
“From all of us that you have rendered really very, very good service, I’d like to thank you from the bottom of my heart and I really wish you clear skies as you proceed in your career path.”
Aquino expressed hopes that the Armed Forces of the Philippine “will have better platforms, more training, more skills upgrading, more support in the service of our people.”
“So, again, thank you very much from all of us and hopefully you will continue the splendid service you’ve done not only to us but also for our country that made the governance more effective,” he said.
Aquino will end his term on June 30, 2016, the same day that his successor will take his oath.
