The administration of former President Benigno Aquino 3rd ended its term with a “very good” net satisfaction rating, according to the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey.

Results of the SWS poll conducted from June 24 to 27 among 1,200 respondents showed that 66 percent of Filipinos were satisfied, 17 percent neither satisfied nor dissatisfied, and 17 percent dissatisfied with the general performance of the administration, for a net satisfaction rating of +50.

The SWS said the final rating was the highest for the outgoing administration since its + 51 rating in December 2013.

This was also a 15-point increase, and one grade up, from the administration’s good +35 rating in April 2016, the SWS said.

The SWS classifies net satisfaction ratings of +70 and above as “excellent”; +50 to +69 “very good”; +30 to +49 “good”; +10 to +29 “moderate”; +9 to -9 “neutral”; -10 to -29, “poor”; -30 to -49, “bad”; -50 to -69, “very bad”; and -70 and below, “execrable.”

The survey was conducted a few days before the inauguration of Aquino’s successor to the presidency, Rodrigo Duterte.

Meanwhile, the SWS said the Aquino administration got net satisfaction ratings of “very good” on three issues, “good” on five issues and “moderate” on five issues.

The Aquino administration rated “very good” on developing science and technology (+54); promoting the welfare of OFWs (overseas Filipino workers) (+52); and helping the poor (+51).

It also scored “good” on foreign relations (+48); defending the country’s territorial rights (+45); restoring peace to Mindanao (+43); providing jobs (+40); and fighting crimes (+31).

But the Aquino admnistration’s ratings were moderate on: eradicating graft and corruption (+27); reconciliation with Muslim rebels (+25); reconciliation with communist rebels (+25); ensuring that no family will ever be hungry (+25); and fighting inflation (+19).

“Compared to April 2016, [net satisfaction rating]rose by two grades from neutral to good on fighting crimes, up by 27 points from +4,” the survey noted.

Net satisfaction rating “stayed good on foreign relations, up by 12 points from +36 in April 2016,” the SWS said.

Results of the survey were posted on Monday by SWS’ media partner BusinessWorld.

The survey involved face-to-face interviews of 1,200 adults, or 300 each in Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao.

It had sampling error margins of ±3% for national percentages and ±6% each for Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

    2. If corporate yellow media, which controls mainstream media (Manila Times excluded) did not manipulate the news to hide PNoy’s traitorous sell out of Panatag Shoal, using 2 1/2 Zambales 3 mountains as panambak since 2915, also the the widespread narco-politics that became endemic in governance during the PNoy presidency also all other corruption scandals that the people suspected but are not informed of the full extent until now. Pnoy is in fact the worst president in Philippine history.

The SWS is not realistic because it is used as one of the tools for media manipulation. People’s perception are formed by what the TV news feeds them such that they are brainwashed and programmed by the oligarchy dictatorship who own the biggest media sectors.

    3. The SWS.survey is the most inaccurate and the most unbelievable ever done of BSA III job approval ratings. If Duterte were not elected then I would believe the survey , but Roxas lost and Duterte won the Presidency , who the majority poor only hope will alleviate their long suffering and thankfully Filipinos elected the right person ( a pro -poor President)
