President Benigno Aquino 3rd will still be “on the job” in his last few days in office, according to Malacanang.
Presidential Communications Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr. on Wednesday said Aquino is committed to fulfill his job as the country’s leader until his term ends on June 30.
“Bawat araw ngayon hanggang sa June 30 ay on-the-job pa rin ang ating Pangulo at tinutukoy pa rin niya ‘yung mga dapat tukuyin ng isang nakaupong Pangulo ng Republika [Every day, now until June 30, our President is still on the job and he still does what a President of the Republic does],” Coloma added.
And with only 22 days left in office, Coloma said, the President is reviewing some important legislative measures that he may still sign into law.
“Pumipirma po siya ‘nung mga isinumite na mga enroled bills. Marami-rami din po iyon. Kaya nga napansin ninyo during the recent days, may inaanunsyo tayo na mga inaaprubahan na bagong Republic Act [The President is signing enrolled bills that are submitted to him. There are many. So you would notice, during recent days, we announced some approved Republic Act(s)],” he said.
