President Benigno Aquino 3rd will be taking a break from work on his 54th birthday on Saturday, February 8, a Malacañang official said.
Palace deputy spokesman Abigail Valte said that the President has no special plans for his birthday but he may use the day for some much-needed rest.
“His birthday will fall on a Saturday. He may take the opportunity to get some rest,” Valte told government-run dzRB radio.
President Aquino is expected to celebrate his birthday in Malacañang with a thanksgiving mass offered by his family, friends, and colleagues in the government.
Aquino, who visited a 15-year-old bone cancer patient at the Philippine Orthopedic Center on his birthday last year, has always regarded this date as an ordinary working day.
