JEDDAH, Saudi Arabia: The United States tripled its estimate for the number of Islamic State (IS) fighters as it geared up for a “more aggressive” air campaign, and Arab nations rallied behind President Barack Obama’s nascent coalition against the jihadists.

French President Francois Hollande was on his way on Friday to Baghdad where he will meet his Iraqi counterpart Fuad Masum in a show of support.
