Army holds bomb awareness seminar in Iligan City

ILIGAN CITY: The Philippine Army’s 4th Mechanized Infantry Battalion conducted a bomb awareness seminar as part of its education campaign in Mindanao, in response to the blast that killed eight people in Cagayan de Oro City on July 26. The seminar was held at Gaisano Super Mall and participated by the store’s security heads, personnel, and sales supervisors. The army’s 35th Explosive Ordinance Disposal Team and the EOD unit of the local police force headed by Sr. Insp. Oliver Pableo conducted the lectures on improvised explosives and bomb threat management. Battalion commander Lt. Col. Danilo Ibon said the seminar would help both civilians and the military become more attentive to their surroundings.
