Col. Noel Detoyato, who also used to be an Army spokesman, assumed the new post vice Col. William Gonzales, who is expected to be assigned to Mindanao.

OCS is producing 75 percent of the officer requirements of the Philippine Army, while the rest is from Philippine Military Academy.

“We will produce principled officers guided by the principles of war,” said Detoyato in his assumption speech during a turnover ceremony presided by Brig. Gen. Herminigildo Aquino.

  1. I am very happy that the OCS, my alma mater, is under the leadership of a competent officer. I am sure the school will be in good hands.
