Army to distribute M4 rifles

The Philippine Army is set to issue and distribute M4 rifles repaired by US-based Remington Arms Company, Col. Benjamin Hao, Army spokesman announced on Thursday. Hao showed journalists more than 44,000 rifles that are part of the 50,629 bought by the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) as part of the military’s modernization program. The AFP, according to Hao, will immediately issue the firearms as soon as the required inspection and ballistic tests are finished.
