The Sandiganbayan First Division on Friday issued warrants of arrest against Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. and his 32 co-accused in plunder cases filed against them in connection with the multibillion peso pork barrel scam.
The warrants of arrest were signed by First Division chairman Associate Justice Efren de la Cruz and Associate Justices Rafael Lagos and Napoleon Inoturan.
But the warrants will be served to the lawmaker upon his arrival at the anti-graft court after they received information that Revilla is on his way to Sandiganbayan to surrender.
Aside from Revilla, also ordered arrested facing plunder cases were alleged pork barrel scam mastermind Janet Lim-Napoles, Atty. Richard Cambe, John Raymond de Asis and Ronald John Lim.
Revilla allegedly pocketed Php 242-million in pork barrel funds through commission and kickbacks.
The court will determine where the solon and his co-accused will be detained after the warrants were served.
Prior to the issuance of warrants of arrest, the division issued Thursday afternoon a resolution denying all pending motions on plunder and graft cases filed against Revilla and his co-accused. PNA
