Arts contest for high schoolers


All junior and senior high school students in Metro Manila are invited to join Phantasya, CIIT College of Arts and Technology’s annual competition in traditional and digital arts on March 1.

Using Philippine fantasy as its theme, contestants must come up with an artwork on-the-spot, in a span of three hours, with simultaneous competitions at Circle Events Place in Timog, Quezon City. for the traditional arts category, and the digital arts category will be at CIIT campus.

Contestants in the traditional arts category are required to bring their own drawing and coloring materials. CIIT will provide the 15”x20” canvass and the stock images for participants who will use image manipulation in the digital arts category.

A brand new DSLR camera and a full scholarship to CIIT College of Arts and Technology await the first place winners in both categories. Second place winners will receive an Intuos 5 and a half scholarship each, and third place winners will receive an Inkling Pen and a half scholarship each. The school with the highest total score of participants will win a laptop.

A People’s Choice Award and an iPad Mini will be given to the participant garnering the most number of “likes” on CIIT’s Facebook page until March 3.
