A PORTION of the funds for the country's hosting of the 2017 Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) summit were disbursed “with deficiencies,” according to state auditors.

"Out of the audited P219.24 million Asean fund, 17.70 percent or a total of P38,807,125.40 was found deficient," the Commission on Audit (COA) said in its report on the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) for 2017.
