HONG KONG: Most Asian markets rose Friday while the pound was steady after the Bank of England announced a post-Brexit interest rate cut and surprise stimulus, while traders await the release of key US jobs data.

Regional investors pressed on with Thursday’s rally after the British central bank met expectations by cutting borrowing costs for the first time in seven years, to a record low of 0.25 percent.
