Assassin of Makati engineer dies in firefight with police in Albay

LEGAZPI CITY: After two years of hiding, a suspected killer of a Makati City engineer died in a gunfight with police in Polangui, Albay, on Thursday night, reports said on Saturday. Senior Supt. Marlo Meneses, Albay Police Provincial Office (APPO) director, said Ramson Concepcion died after he fired at officers who were trying to arrest him. Concepcion was a suspected member of the robbery-holdup group headed by his brother, Gilbert, a former rebel-turned-soldier. The Conception group, according to Meneses, is a gun-for-hire syndicate operating in Albay and tagged as the prime suspect in the assassination of engineer Nelson Morales, then the United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) provincial chairman in Albay. Morales was murdered in broad daylight on September 7, 2012.

  1. It’s amazing how quiet the family and relatives are about the death of Engineer Morales. With this latest incident on Ramson Concepcion, isn’t it high time for them to file a case and look into more details surrounding the killing?
