The Green Archers improved to 4-2 while the Fighting Maroons are still winless in six games.
Last year’s Finals Most Valuable Player Jeron Teng led La Salle with 25 points and 11 rebounds while Almond Vosotros chipped in 15 points, six rebounds and five assists. Jason Perkins, Abu Tratter, Prince Rivero and Norbert Torres added six points each.
“We came out better but we didn’t finish with the same energy,” said La Salle mentor Juno Sauler.

UP played without head coach Rey Madrid, who was slapped with a two-game suspension by UAAP Commissioner Andy Jao. Madrid earlier accused the referees of point-shaving.
UP, through its College of Human Kinetics Dean and UAAP board member Ronualdo Dizer, has already appealed to the Office of the UAAP Commissioner. Jao said he will review the letter of appeal sent by UP.
