Attacking the eyes is good self-defense technique because if your assailant is temporarily blinded, he would have a hard time completing his assault on you. Attacking the eyes can be done effectively while in punching or trapping range.
Photo 1 shows the defender (left) bracing against the attacker’s hook punch. Photo 2 shows the defender immediately employing a stop hit using his left hand in to stop the attack.
Photo 3 shows the defender controlling the attacker’s left hand and attacking the attacker’s left eye with his thumb. Photo 4 shows the defender clinching the attacker’s neck with his left hand. Photo 5 shows the defender delivering a left knee to the attacker’s mid-section as a finishing move.
