The highly influential magazine Consumer Reports has ranked Audi the “best car brand” in 2016.
“We are extremely happy about the good news. The ranking confirms the substance of our products and the success of our growth strategy in the USA,” said Rupert Stadler, chairman of the Board of Management of Audi AG.
The American organization Consumer Reports tests, evaluates and compares products from daily life and presents the results in a magazine issued each month. The online edition of Consumer Reports announced the results of the “Which brands make the best cars?” survey in advance. Audi is the overall winner, followed by Subaru in second place and Lexus in third place.
In the highly-regarded study, all tested Audi models without exception were ranked as “recommended.” Werner Zimmermann, head of Audi Quality Assurance, explaind with pride: “The report underscores the high quality standards and the reliability of our cars across all model series.”
The rankings are performed in four different categories: road test; reliability; customer satisfaction; and safety. Data from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration are incorporated here. During the test drives, at least 2,000 miles (3,200 kilometers) are driven in each model. The customer satisfaction category considers feedback from more than 230,000 drivers; in the reliability section, data is analyzed from about 740,000 cars up to 15 years old.
In the Philippines, Audi has showrooms in Greenhills, San Juan City; Global City, Taguig City; and Alabang, Muntinlupa City.
