AUDI said it offers new-car buyers in China the best service experience as it topped the J.D. Power Sales Satisfaction Index in the premium car segment for the fifth-straight year. The carmaker said it increased its lead over its competitors as it “performed very well” in the study’s five assessment categories—sales initiation, salesperson, dealership facility, deal and delivery process.
J.D. Power surveyed around 15,300 people in over 50 cities who bought a new car between July 2013 and February 2014.
Audi’s 2.5-liter TFSI engine was also named 2014 International Engine of the Year in the award’s 2.0-liter to 2.5-liter category. An international panel comprising 82 motoring journalists voted the 2.5 TFSI the winner in its class.
“Power, performance and a full-throated sound—this engine has it all,” the jury for the awards body explained.
Audi said its 2.5-liter, five-cylinder TFSI engine, which powers the Audi RS Q3, has now won the award for the fifth-straight year.
Meanwhile, the virtual cockpit of the new Audi TT also won first place in Automotive Interiors Expo Awards 2014. The cabin of the TT took the Interior Innovation of the Year – Production Vehicles category.
