SYDNEY: Australia will suffer more days of extreme heat and a longer bushfire season as greenhouse gases force temperatures to continue rising, a new report warned on Tuesday.
The joint study by the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO) and the Bureau of Meteorology said temperatures across Australia were, on average, almost 1.0 degree Celsius (1.8 degrees Fahrenheit) warmer than a century ago.
