• AUSTRALIA’S PEARSON DENIED ALI REMATCH

    0

Olympic 100m hurdles champion Sally Pearson has been robbed of a chance to redeem herself against rival Nia Ali after the American pulled out of the Melbourne World Challenge Monday, infuriating organizers. Ali upset Australian defending champion Pearson to win the women’s 60m hurdles gold at the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Poland this month. It set the scene for a high-profile re-match in the 100m hurdles in Mebourne on Saturday but Ali informed organizers she would not make the trip to Australia, just 24 hours after her entry was officially confirmed.
