AVIDA Land Corp., the mid-market brand of Ayala Land Inc. (ALI), plans to launch more projects in the Visayas and Mindanao driven by the growth prospects outside of Luzon, a company official said.
In line with its geographical expansion plans, especially with the president-elect’s focus on regional development, the company is optimistic about the VisMin region, Avida head of Project and Strategic Management Group Pol Tanco told reporters in a recent interview.
“Mainly, our thrust is still on VisMin . . . expanding geographically toward the Visayas Mindanao area as we see those areas as growth areas. Especially with Duterte, his bias is toward regional development and provincial development, so we will go along with that thrust,” Tanco said.
Avida has existing footprints in Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, and Cagayan de Oro.
“Ever since, we’ve been planning to expand geographically – particularly in the VisMin area. Because historically, most of Avida’s projects are in Metro Manila and neighboring provinces. Very deliberate is our effort to expand outside of Metro Manila. So, VisMin really has potential for growth,” Tanco said.
“Our other projects in the pipeline, Davao, Cebu – in the planning stage – Vermosa [in Cavite], and Alviera in Porac,” Tanco noted.
Earlier, Avida reported plans to launch 15 projects this year, with estimated total sales value of P30 billion.
“Part of our pipeline actually is Tuguegarao. We’re just completing permits for Tuguegarao, then we plan to actually launch it this July. Then we also have a development in Lipa,” Tanco said.
Tanco noted Avida will also be launching sequel towers of previous projects, like Asten in, One Union Place in Taguig, Riala in Cebu, and Atria in Iloilo.
