Awards for Cotabato OLD treasures set

KIDAPAWAN CITY: North Cotabato residents harboring archaic creatures, either persons or edifices with at least 100 years of age, are doubling efforts to ensure that their “vintage treasures” remain existent or intact to receive awards during the province’s centennial founding celebration on September 1 next year. “We may have centennial treasures in persons or buildings in the province. It’s time to reward people for their efforts in caretaking aged relatives or edifices, and to exemplify the lifestyle of the stakeholders that helped them live longer,” Gov. Emmylou “Lala” Taliño-Mendoza of North Cotabato said on Wednesday. Mendoza said the provincial government conducted the first Cotabato Centennial Summit here on October 10 to 11 to line up major events for their grand 100th anniversary celebration next year.               Moh I.
