The country’s burgeoning business process outsourcing (BPO) industry may soon have a new hub in Arca South, the 74-hectare mixed-used development south of Makati launched recently by property giant Ayala Land, Inc. (ALI).
Arca South is an P80-billion master-planned project in the former FTI Complex located near the southern ends of major thoroughfares EDSA and C5, right along the South Luzon Expressway.
“Arca South’s location and access makes it ideal for BPO sites. Nine towers will be launched within the next five years, with two out of the nine towers expected to be operational by 2017,” said Mean Dy, Ayala Land vice president and head of its Strategic Landbank Management Group.
ALI said a total of 33 property development projects are to be built under phase 1. Apart from the nine office towers, the township project will have 20 residential buildings, retail centers, a hotel and a hospital.
Dy said phase 1 will include the establishment of several retail developments, including a 200,000-square meter regional mall and 90,000-square-meter lifestyle mall.
“A 250-bed QualiMed hospital offering highly specialized medical treatment will also be built in Arca South,” she added.
The community’s largest component will be residential projects and these will be developed by Ayala Land Premier, Alveo and Avida, all ALI subsidiaries.
The group is targeting to build a total of 3,645 residential units within five years, of which more than 1,200 will be built by Ayala Land Premier, 900 units by Alveo, and about 1,600 units by Avida.
