The Philippine Azkals will play against Kyrgyzstan in their second friendly match this year at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium on November 9.
The game starts at 8 p.m.
The goodwill match is part of the Azkals’ preparations for the group stage of the 2016 ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Suzuki Cup to be hosted by the Philippines later this month.
During the previous meeting between the two clubs at the Dolen Omurzakov Stadium in Bishkek last September 6, the Azkals won 2-1.
Filipino-German midfielder Kevin Ingresso scored the first goal giving the Philippines a 1-0 advantage at halftime.
Misagh Bahadoran also stepped up for the country with a strike of his own in the 52nd minute to ensure the triumph of the Filipinos.
Consequently, the Philippines absorbed two straight losses in pre-tournament friendly matches.
The Azkals first lost 1-3 against Bahrain on October 7, at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium in Manila.
They suffered another defeat against North Korea, 1-3, on October 10.
Meanwhile, with the domestic football season already over, the national team has started the final stages of their training last week.
The Azkals are slated to host three Suzuki Cup games in the 25,000-seater Philippine Sports Stadium in Bocaue, Bulacan from November 19 to 25.
They will first face Singapore on the opening day followed by their match against Indonesia on November 22 before closing the preliminary round with a clash against defending champion Thailand.
