• Bach sorry for Woods struggles

SAINT ANDREWS, United Kingdom: Next year’s Rio Olympics may have to do without Tiger Woods, International Olympic Committee chief Thomas Bach said on Saturday (Sunday in Manila), as the former world number one struggles with his game. Golf returns to the Olympics in Brazil and much has been made of big-name, highly-paid professional golfers teeing off in the multi-sport event. Bach said he had no problem with that aspect as long as they were “the best athletes” in their sport.
