It is a very exciting time for beauty pageant fans as the Miss Intercontinental and Miss Supranational 2014 editions unfold tonight and tomorrow evening in Germany and Bicol, respectively.
Hopes are high that 25-year-old Cebuana finance analyst Kris Tiffany Janson, who will compete at the Maritim Hotel and Congress in Magdeburg, Germany, will emerge as the first Filipina Miss Intercontinental.
Meanwhile, on the other side of Europe in Krynica-Zdrój, Poland, 21-year-old certified public Accountant from Bicol Yvethe Santiago will gun for a back-to-back victory for the Philippines, following Johanna Datul’s big win as Miss Supranational in 2013.
Both Bb. Pilipinas representatives have been in Europe for weeks for pre-pageant activities. Janson took to the stage in an exquisitely beaded golden Muslim ensemble for the National Costume competition in Berlin on November 26; while Santiago dazzled onstage in “Miss Fashion World 2014”—Poland’s prestigious fashion week—wearing an elegant silver Filipiniana terno on November 29.
“I can’t wait to make the country proud,” Janson shared before she left for Germany. “With the guidance of God, I hope to bring home the crown.”
Santiago shared the same sentiments and promised to do her best in representing the Philippines.
