• Baguio dads to look into PUJ overloading

BAGUIO CITY: Members of the city council will look into allegations of overloading by many public utility jeepneys (PUJs) in the Summer Capital as reported by commuters. The council has summoned the heads of various PUJ associations and the president of the Federation of Jeepney Operators and Drivers Association of Baguio to its session on Monday, to explain their side on the issue. Baguio City Councilor Fred Bagbagen initiated the invitation following complaints from the public that many PUJ drivers allegedly load their units beyond the prescribed capacity. “This practice causes discomfort and inconvenience and entails sacrificing the safety and protection of passengers,” he said.
