• Baguio folk told not to be alarmed on MERS-CoV

    BAGUIO CITY: There is no MERS-Cov (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Corona Virus) case yet in the country  and strict monitoring is continuously being done on persons travelling from MERS-CoV- affected countries, according to Baguio City Health Services Office chief Dr. Rowena Galpo. MERS-CoV  was first diagnosed in Saudi Arabia in 2012 and is now an emerging disease in 12 countries.  The good news is the said viral disease has not entered the Philippine yet, she said. Galpo said they are also conducting information, education and communication campaign in the barangays to inform the public about MERS-Cov.
