• Baguio to host 61st annual mining conference


    BAGUIO CITY: At least 1,000 people involved in the mining industry are expected to attend the 61st Annual National Mine Safety and Environment Conference (ANMSEC) to be held in this city from November 11 to 14. Organized by the Philippine Mine Safety and Environment Association (PMSEA), the conference will kick off with a tree-planting ceremony to be led by PMSEA President Louie Sarmiento and Philippine Society of Mining Engineers Chairman and President Felizardo Gacad at the Botanical Garden. An exhibit will be held on November 12 at the CAP-John Hay Convention Center Garden Wing followed a symposium on November 13 with Baguio City Mayor Mauricio Domogan as the guest speaker. The theme of the conference is “61 Years of Responsible Mining and Nation Building”.
