BAGUIO CITY: The Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) Intelligence Unit have arrested one of the suspects in the murder of a student of the University of the Cordilleras (UC) in Baguio sometime in 2006. BCPO Information Officer Police Supt. Andrew Cayad identified the suspect as Emmanuel John Damayan, who was arrested at his residence at San Carlos Heights at Irisan in Baguio. The suspect, who is no. 3 on the BCPO’s top most wanted persons watchlist, has been eluding police arrest for years. Damayan together with his brother Mario Baldo and brother-in-law Noli Gubiangan were linked in the murder of Vincent Ada-ol, a 19-year-old student of UC, sometime in April 2006 at Purok 4, Gibraltar in Baguio. Baldo and Gubiangan, who carried a reward of P90,000 each, were earlier arrested by police operatives.
