CAMP DANGWA, LA TRINIDAD: Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Cordillera Region (PDEA-CAR) agents apprehended a farmer early in the week for selling more than five kilos marijuana bricks to a poseur-buyer.

In an interview on Friday, PDEA-CAR Public Information Officer Joseph Frederick Calulut said the suspect was identified as Arnulfo Dayawen Sacla, single, 22, and a native of Bakun, Benguet.

Sacla was arrested along Governor Pack Road, Baguio City for selling marijuana bricks to a PDEA agent who acted as a poseur-buyer.

The marijuana bricks, weighing more than five kilograms, were neatly concealed in a brown carton together with several chayote (sayote).

Also confiscated from the suspect were the buy-bust money, a mobile phone used for the transaction and another brown carton containing two wooden blocks and sliced chayote.

Calulut said Sacla, currently detained at the Baguio City Jail, will face charges in violation of Sec. 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), of Republic Act No. 9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The confiscated illegal drugs have a Dangerous Drugs Board value of Php 425,000.

The arrest of Sacla came a few days after PDEA-CAR destroyed a marijuana brick making facility in Kibungan, Benguet. PNA
