    The Balikatan Seven Power Up Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) tournament organized by veteran fighter and trainer Henry Yap Kobayashi, will unfold on Satur–day 5 p.m. at the Hybrid Yaw-Yan Mixed Martial Arts Training Center, 5th floor Karen Building no. 9 Annapolis Street, Cubao, Quezon City.

    Six Teams namely Baliwag Fight Club, Fight Factory Gym, Gara MMA, Hybrid Yaw-Yan, New Blood and Yaw-Yan Fervilleon will be vying for the Best Team Award.

    The event will also introduce the Teen MMA Rule, which is for participants below 18 years old. The main event featuring Hy–brid Yaw-Yan’s 16-year-old Korean fighter Jeong Woo Kim against New Blood’s fighter Allan Fulgar, will use the rule

    The other featured fighters are: Baliwag Fight Club’s Dwight Jozel Sampan against Gara MMA’s Jerome Taclan, Kiefer Calub of Team New Blood vs. Yaw-Yan Fervilleon’s Jovanie Bualan, Allain Artillaga vs. Andrew Martesano, Paolo Bernardino vs. Roel Rio, Michael Dulnuan vs. Sancho Niedo 3rd, Lee Villanueva vs. Christchan Buentiempo, Jan Yerro vs. Lemard Indasan, John Michael Baluyan vs. Marvin Rapsing, Amir Mohammed vs. John Vincent Miraflor, Mikel Poyawan vs. Ray Anthony Plaza, Hanric Paul Pasigue vs. Fidel Fabia and Argus Schenel Valencia vs. Melanio Rayanon Jr.

    The events distinguished guest is Alvin Aguilar, president and founder of Universal Reality Combat Championship (URCC), the first Filipino Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt, a Yaw-Yan practitioner and considered The Father of Philippine MMA.

    The tournaments appointed judges are URCC matchmaker Alfred Gealogo, URCC Bacolod brawl promoter Hector Paul Torre and Lucena City MMA pioneer Marc Louie Aldovino. The appointed referees are Joey Lepiten and Joamar Parungao.
