Balotelli poised to return from groin injury

MILAN: AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli is set to return from a four-month injury lay-off in Wednesday’s (Thursday in Manila) Coppa Italia quarter-final against Carpi, according to coach Sinisa Mihajlovic. Balotelli, on loan from Premier League side Liverpool, has not played for Milan since September 27 because of a groin injury and underwent surgery in November. He has appeared in just four games this season, scoring once. Mihajlovic added that French winger Jeremy Menez was also nearing a comeback, having yet to feature in Serie A this season due to a back injury.
