Bangued mayor’s murder case transferred to QC

THE trial for the murder case of Bangued Mayor Ryan Luna and six others was transferred from the Bangued Regional Trial Court to the Quezon City Regional Trial Court. The case is now pending before the sala of Judge Ralph Lee of the Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 83. Also accused in the death of Brenda Crisologo were Lenin Benwares, Pedro Benwares, Tony Benwares, Henry Lee Tan, Nober Calubing and Jonathan Libeun. Brenda, the wife of former Tineg, Abra Mayor Edwin Crisologo, was shot while monitoring the counting of ballots during the May 14, 2007 elections inside the Holy Spirit Academy in Bangued.
