BARAKO Bull crushed Blackwater, 105-90, on Sunday to notch its second straight win in the 40th Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Governor’s Cup elimination round at the Araneta Coliseum.

Canadian 7-foot-2 import Liam McMorrow displayed another notable double-double performance on 23 points and 15 rebounds to lead the Energy Cola’s rampage and rejoined Alaska and Globalport at the top of the standing with similar 2-0 win-loss slate apiece.

The 28-year-old McMorrow debuted with 33 points and hauled down 22 rebounds in their 101-96 win against NLEX Road Warriors on Wednesday.

“I think we have done a good job in respecting our opponent, even in our practice, viewing and, scouting. I just reminded them we cannot just go there and they’ll going to lay down and give you the ball. I told him (McMorrow) the energy he has to rub off to his teammates.  2-0 is really a confidence builder, getting this win will give us much

confidence in our campaign this conference,” said Barako Bull coach Koy Banal.
JC Intal likewise wrought havoc to the Elite’s defense hitting 17 points and conspiring with seven rebounds and two assists for the Energy Cola. Carlo Lastimosa also added with 18 points.

Blackwater dropped to the bottom of the standing with three straight setbacks.

Filipino-naturalized Marcus Douthit paced Blackwater with 21 points and 13 rebounds while JP Erram, Riego Gamalinda and Bryan Heruela settled with 12 points each.
