TO accommodate the expected influx of clients before the deadline for tax payments and renewal of business licenses, the Makati city government has opened its satellite realty tax payments centers in barangays.
Makati’s Finance Department also started its satellite realty tax payment program on the first working day of the year and will open payment centers in various barangays on scheduled dates, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., to serve real property taxpayers.
It has also authorized its frontline offices to remain open beyond regular work hours on weekdays and weekends.
City Treasurer Nelia Barlis said her office has designated personnel to each payment center in the barangays, asking them to report as early as 7:30 a.m. at the site on the scheduled dates to ensure compliance with taxation processes and for fast and hassle-free transactions with clients.
The city official said RPT collection began in District 1 with Barangay Bel-Air on Thursday, which will be open until Friday to serve clients.
Next is Barangay Dasmariñas on January 6 to 7, Barangay Forbes Park on January 8, Barangay Urdaneta, January 9, Barangay Magallanes on January 10 to 11, and Barangay San Lorenzo on January 13.
Property owners in Barangay Bangkal and Pio del Pilar can settle their taxes on January 14, while those in Barangays Tejeros and San Antonio will have their turn on January 15.
