FILIPINO developers with a combined property portfolio of $4.27 billion for 2016 were recognized for their sustainability efforts by an Asia Pacific award-giving body.
During the BCI Asia Awards ceremony at the New World Makati hotel late Tuesday, BCI Asia named the most active property developers in the Philippines based on projects under construction last year.
Among the property firms awarded were 8990 Housing Development Corp., Ayala Land Inc., Century Properties Group Inc., DMCI Homes Inc., Filinvest Alabang Inc., Kissan Lu Lands and Development Inc., Megaworld Corp., Robinsons Land Corp., Rockwell Land Corp., and SM Prime Holdings Inc.
The portfolios of the top developers contain $4.27 billion worth of properties scheduled to start construction in the Philippines this year.
The winners were chosen based on the greatest aggregate value of projects under construction during the last full calendar year, weighed by the extent of their sustainability efforts, according to BCI.
BCI also named the 10 most active architecture firms in the country:
Aidea Inc., Arch Haus Asia Consultants Inc., ASYa Design, GF & Partners Architects, Jose Siao Ling & Associates, LPPA Design Group, Palafox Architecture Group Inc., Pimentel Rodriguez Simbulan & Partners, VISIONARCH Inc., and W.V. Coscolluela & Associates.
The combined portfolio of the architecture firms amounted to $12.51 billion and is set to be constructed this year.
