MOSCOW: A top commander in the US military has suggested active patrols near China’s islands in the Spratly archipelago. On Friday, Beijing announced that it was “extremely concerned” about such an aggressive proposal.
Speaking before a US Senate hearing on Thursday, Admiral Harry Harris, commander of the US forces in the Pacific, expressed his concerns over China’s construction of a third airstrip on its artificial islands in the South China Sea.
