Benguet road mishap leaves one dead, five wounded


CAMP BADO DANGWA, Benguet: A vehicular accident left one dead and five injured in Benguet over the weekend.

Chief Supt. Benjamin Magalong, Cordillera police chief, identified the fatality as a Pineda, 26, of Camp 7, Baguio City. He was proclaimed dead on arrival at the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center.

Magalong also identified those injured: driver Rafael, 17, single, student, of Woodsgate Camp 7; Francis Julian Catolico, 18, of 171 Woods-gate Square, Camp 7; Jericho John Manuel, 23, of 23 Maya Street Dizon Subdivision; Camille Reario, 18, female, student, of 152 Maria Basa, Pacdal; Tanya Macario, 18, female, student, of Dominican Hill all in Baguio City.

According to reports received by Magalong, elements of the Tuba Municipal Police Station responded to the vehicular accident at around 11:30 a.m. on July 5, along Ubbog, Yagyagan, Tadiangan, Tuba, Benguet involving a Montero sports utility vehicle (AEY 922).

The SUV was along Tadiangan Tuba road en route to Baguio when it met an accident.
