• Benguet, South Korea business chambers sign trade pact


    BAGUIO CITY: The Baguio-Benguet Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BBCCI) signed a memorandum of understanding with its counterpart from Cheongju, South Korea recently to promote business cooperation between the two chambers including the start of exploratory business relations. Signing on behalf of BBCCI was its president Modesto Imayaho Sr., while the Cheongu Chamber of Commerce and Industry was represented by its chairman Jeong Ji Mun. Jeong led a 24-man delegation composed of 16 businessmen and eight students from the Korea Polytechnic University on their two-day trade mission here. The memorandum tasks the parties to extend efforts to promote mutual cooperation in business activities including mutual relationship for development in the aspects of economy, culture and tourism; cooperative development of businesses particularly those that elevate entrepreneurs in small and medium enterprises, among others.
