Benguet to walk, hold mass for peace in Marawi


BAGUIO CITY: A walk for peace and solidarity, and a Mass in honor of the soldiers and civilians in the on-going fight in Marawi City will be held this Sunday at the Shrine of the Brown Madonna at Km 7, Asin Road in Tadiangan, Tuba, Benguet. National Correspondents Club of Baguio president Nars Padilla, who organized the event, said members of the Boy and Girl Scouts of the Philippines will join the seven-kilometer symbolic walk which will start from the heroes marker to Asin Road early morning today. After the walk, the scouts will lead the floral offering and candle lighting ceremony in honor of the dead soldiers. This will be followed by a mass at 10 a.m. to be officiated by Fr. Alejandro Bangsilan of the Crystal Cave-San Pablo Seminary who serves as the spiritual advise of the Shrine of the Brown Madonna cave church.
