PGA Cars, distributor of Audi, Bentley and Porsche in the Philippines, said that the recent 11th staging of the Enrique Zobel Memorial Polo Cup, held at the Manila Polo Club, had turned into a showcase of the premium brands, particularly of the new Bentley Flying Spur.
The ultra-luxurious new Flying Spur is the event’s official tournament trophy car, PGA Cars said. It added the car was presented in the middle of the Enrique Zobel Field by Zobel Foundation Chairman Dee Zobel, PGA Cars directors Roberto Coyiuto 3rd and Benedicto Coyiuto, and E. Zobel Inc. Chief Executive Officer Iñigo Zobel.
After the presentation, players on horseback galloped on the grass for the ceremonial ball throw-in, executed by Dee Zobel, to signal the start of the game. According to PGA Cars, the match between the Bentley Whites and the Audi Grays was action-packed, and was won by the Grays 7-5. In the other match, the Audi Reds nipped the Bentley Greens 3-2.
PGA Cars said the Audi A1 Sportback, A6 executive sedan and Q3 compact crossover, along with the Porsche Cayman S sports car and Cayenne V6 SUV, also entered the polo field. Other vehicles displayed were the Bentley Continental GT V8, the Audi A4, Q5 and A7 Sportback, and the Porsche Boxster S, Cayenne GTS and the Panamera V6.
