THE National Water Resources Board (NWRB) has slapped beverage firm Pepsi Cola Products Philippines, Inc. (PCPPI) with an P11.8-million penalty for illegally operating six deep wells at its plant in Muntinlupa City.
NWRB, an attached agency of Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), imposed the penalty due to the company's operation of its deep wells without the appropriate permit from the agency.
