Beyonce has reset her supposed September 7 concert in New Jersey to October 7 per her doctor’s advice to have vocal rest.
The global superstar was supposed to perform at the MetLife Stadium as part of her Formation World Tour but needed to rest under doctor’s strict orders. Dates and performances in St. Louis, Los Angeles, Santa Clara, Houston, New Orleans, Atlanta, Philadelphia and Nashville are expected to proceed as planned.
Beyonce first held a concert in Manila in 2007 as the Southeast Asian leg of the Beyonce Experience at the BGC grounds in Taguig and fans are hoping she can still include the Philippines as a stop in her 2016 tour, in case there are some adjustments made.
Out of 49 Formation dates, Manila is conspicuously not in the list despite initial confirmation by a representative of the company that coordinates events at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan. The largest indoor stadium in the world, the Iglesia Ni Cristo-owned and –run venue has a capacity of 55,000.
MOA Arena may not be enough to accommodate even half of the 50,000 crowd who came to have fun with Beyonce back in 2007 but she can do her concert for two nights like Madonna.
Called by Bey by friends and fans alike, the most popular of the former Destiny’s Child trio turned 35 on September 4.
