Bicam okays proposed Bangsamoro Organic Law

AFTER six days of marathon hearings, the bicameral conference committee on Wednesday evening approved the final draft of the proposed Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL) that will create the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (BAR) in Muslim Mindanao.



“With no further amendments, on the part of the Senate we approve the bicameral conference committee report on the Bangsamoro Basic Law,” Sen. Juan Miguel Zubiri, head of the Senate contingent, said as he banged the gavel.
