The much-awaited PBA All-Star Weekend, held annually during the middle of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) season, is set to happen at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in August, after a deal was forged between PBA and Uniprom, Inc.
PBA Commissioner Chito Narvasa and OIC-COO of Uniprom, Inc. Irene Jose signed the agreement.
This year, the PBA has elevated its offering by showcasing not just its superstars but also its players from the PBA D-League, Batang PBA, and the PBA Women’s Tournament.
Besides a basketball clinic for children, the traditional friendly match between PBA Giants and PBA stalwarts will be a treat to Filipino hoops fans. There will also be exhibitions and special performances by PBA players and coaches culminating in the anticipated All-Star Game, a showdown of the league’s star players. PBA stars will also participate in a motorcade around the Araneta Center to greet their fans.
The All-Star Weekend presents a platform for players to show off their skills in ways that the regular season would not ordinarily allow.
