Vice President Jejomar Binay is still the presidential candidate to reckon with according to the latest BusinessWorld-Social Weather Stations (SWS) Survey released on Friday.

Binay got the nod of 31 percent of respondents, registering an increase of five percentage points from the last survey in December 2015.

Statistically tied after the vice president were Sen. Grace Poe with 24 percent (down by two percentage points from December), followed closely by Liberal Party’s Manuel Roxas 2nd with 21 percent (down a percentage point) and Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte still with 20 percent.

Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago, meanwhile, got three percent, which was a percentage point lower than her rating in December.

The SWS said the survey used face-to-face interviews with 1,200 validated voters — 300 each in Metro Manila, Balance of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

  2. Ms. Pia Soriano, It is only an allegation that Binay is corrupt. It was not proven in court. You judge him already. Who you are to judge him. Be fair please. You like Grace Poe who is a liar. This was already proven and she is not eligible to run as President based on our Constitution. And yet, her supporters, including you, insist on telling us that let the people decide. The Filipino people already decided that she is not eligible to run. Our Constitution is the voice of the Filipino people. I hope this clears your mind. Do not keep blinded. Open your eyes and see the glaring facts. Don’t you know that the oligarchs are the ones who manipulates all of these because they know Grace Poe is like an empty paper. Think about it what next will happen. Thank you.. God bless…

  3. Filipinos deserve nothing less. Do you want a corrupt leader for president, or a president who has the makings to be a dictator? Please THINK. Think about the consequences of the blind allegiance you may be stuck in. As for me, Sen. Grace Poe is my safe bet. She’s the only one who isn’t linked with corruption issues, since she’s technically new in politics. But she makes me feel good about the future, siya lang yung nakikita mong alam ang ginagawa niya. To God be the Glory, Philippines!

The good thing about this survey is that Grace Poe is still at the 2nd spot even she is facing issues and cases. I believe that once her name is cleared and SC has decided that she is qualified to run, Grace Poe will be on top again.
